Product overview
When gravity is not enough, motorized drive roller (MDR) conveyor moves cartons, totes and packages on a level line with precise control. The conveyor is split into zones, and each zone is driven by its own 24V motorized roller. Zones run only when product is present, which saves energy, cuts noise and lets cartons queue up without pushing against each other. The modular, Canadian-built sections can be rearranged or extended as your operation grows.
Construction and features
- Drive rollers: 24V, 1.9 in diameter with 7/16 in hex axles on 3 in centres

- Speed: 45 to 180 feet per minute (higher speeds on request)
- Capacity: 50 lbs per foot or 75 lbs per zone
- Operating modes: transport, run on demand, accumulation and network control
- Powered tapered roller curves in 30°, 45°, 60° and 90°

Is MDR right for you?
Most carton and tote lines start with gravity conveyor, which has no running costs. MDR makes sense when the line needs to stay level over a long run, when product must stop and queue without touching, when you need to merge or divert to several destinations, or when you plan to add scanners and automation later. MDR and gravity sections can also be combined in one system.
