Our Services
From the first measurement to the final install, JB Equipment plans, engineers, installs and labels storage systems that fit your space, your products and your budget. Since 1985, we've helped businesses across the GTA and Southern Ontario get more out of every square foot, and we ship across Canada.
01Space Planning
Get more storage out of the space you already have
With real estate costs rising, the most affordable square foot is the one you already have. We measure your warehouse corner to corner, note columns, doors and dock areas, and turn it into a scaled computer-aided (CAD) layout that shows exactly what will fit.
- On-site measuring of your building
- Scaled CAD layouts you can review and share
- Options compared side by side: racking, shelving, mezzanines and pick towers
- Room to grow built into the plan
02Warehouse Design & Layout
A layout built around how your team works
Good design is more than fitting in racks. We look at how product comes in, where it's stored, and how it's picked and shipped. Then we lay out aisles, storage and work areas to cut travel time and keep traffic moving safely.
- Receiving, storage, picking and shipping flow
- Aisle widths matched to your forklifts and equipment
- The right system for each product: pallet racking, cantilever, shelving or mezzanine
- Designs for new buildings, moves and expansions
03Engineering & Compliance
Safe, compliant and ready for inspection
Our engineering services help keep your racking and storage systems safe and compliant, whether they're brand new or already in use.
- Warehouse and racking inspections
- Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews (PSRs)
- Load ratings and stamped engineering drawings
- Permit coordination
- Engineering for new and existing systems
04Professional Installation
Installed right, on your schedule
Our crews install the systems we design across the GTA and Southern Ontario, so the plan on paper is what ends up on your floor. When your needs change, we can expand or reconfigure your existing Redi-Rack style racking. Because we keep standard components in stock, most projects aren't held up waiting for material.
- Pallet racking, shelving, mezzanines, wire mesh partitions and just about anything warehouse related
- Expansions and reconfigurations of existing racking
- Stocked inventory, ready to ship
- Big and small projects, scheduled with you

Warehouse Labelling
Custom labels. Clear locations.
A well-labelled warehouse is faster to pick, easier to train in and simpler to count. We supply rack and bin labels, barcodes and warehouse signs made for your locations, your layout and your workflow, so every pallet position, shelf and bin has a clear address your team and your scanners can read at a glance.
Several of the labelling photos on this page are from a recent pallet racking installation in Mississauga, Ontario, where every beam location got its own barcode label and each bay was marked with a large, easy-to-read aisle code.
- Rack beam, upright and bin location labels
- Scannable barcodes matched to your WMS or inventory system
- Colour-coded zones, levels and aisles
- Black and white or full colour, in the sizes you need
- Aisle, bay and directional signs
What We Label

Rack & Bin Labels
Beam labels for every pallet position, upright placards for multi-level locations, and shelf and bin labels for small-parts picking. Up or down arrows point to the right level.

Barcode Rolls
Sequentially numbered barcode labels on rolls for receiving, inventory, asset tags and cycle counts, printed in the format your scanners and software expect.

Colour-Coded Locations
Use colour to separate zones, aisles or rack levels. From simple identification to fully colour-coded zones, you get a consistent look across the whole warehouse.
Materials
Built Around Your Layout
Organize First, Then Label
Clean, organized supply rooms and warehouses help you have the right items, in the right quantities, at the right time, while cutting waste and controlling cost. Labels work best when every item has a home.
Using 5S lean principles, we can walk you through a review of your usage and available space, then relocate products by size and velocity. Fast movers go into golden pick zones close to packing and shipping, and slow movers move out of the way. The result is a cleaner, more organized space that is easier to pick, restock and count.
- 1Sort: keep what you use, clear what you don't
- 2Set in order: slot items by size and velocity
- 3Shine: clean up and mark aisles and locations
- 4Standardize: consistent labels, colours and codes
- 5Sustain: a layout that is easy to keep organized

Frequently Asked Questions
Are your quotes free?
Yes. Quotations are free and come with no obligation. Send us your measurements or floor plan, or we can come out and measure.
Do you install what you sell?
Yes. We install just about anything warehouse related, including pallet racking, shelving, mezzanines and wire mesh partitions, and we can expand or reconfigure existing Redi-Rack style racking. No project is too big or too small.
What areas do you serve?
We design and install throughout the GTA and Southern Ontario, and we ship equipment to customers across the rest of Canada.
What is a Pre-Start Health and Safety Review (PSR)?
In Ontario, a PSR may be required before new racking or other storage equipment is put into use. We can arrange the review, along with load ratings and stamped engineering drawings.
Can you label racking we already have?
Yes. We can make rack, bin and barcode labels for existing pallet racking and shelving, whether you are setting up a new location system or replacing worn and missing labels. Send us a location list or a sample layout and we will quote it.
How quickly can my project start?
We keep standard racking and shelving components in stock, so most orders ship quickly. Call us with your timeline and we'll tell you what's possible.
