These terms apply to quotes, orders, deliveries and installations from JB Equipment, 3-50 East Beaver Creek Rd., Richmond Hill, Ontario L4B 1G6, and to the use of jbequipment.ca. By placing an order or using this website, you agree to these terms. Where your written quote or invoice says something different, the quote or invoice applies.
Quotes and pricing
- Prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include HST or other applicable taxes unless stated.
- Quotes are valid for the period shown on the quote. Steel and freight costs change often, so pricing may need to be confirmed after that date.
- Delivery, installation, permits and engineering are included only when they are listed on your quote.
- Prices and product details on this website are for general information and may change without notice. Your written quote is the final price.
Orders and payment
- An order is confirmed once we accept it in writing and any required deposit is received.
- Payment terms, including any deposit, are shown on your quote or invoice.
- Products remain the property of JB Equipment until paid in full.
Delivery and pickup
- Delivery and lead times are estimates. We will keep you updated, but we are not responsible for delays caused by manufacturers, carriers, weather or other events outside our control.
- Please make sure the site is accessible and someone is available to receive the delivery. Extra charges may apply for waiting time, redelivery or special unloading equipment.
- Inspect your order when it arrives. Note any damage or shortages on the delivery receipt and tell us within 48 hours so we can resolve it.
- Orders picked up from our Richmond Hill location are your responsibility once loaded.
Installation
- Installation is provided when it is included on your quote.
- The work area must be clear, accessible and ready on the scheduled date. Delays caused by site conditions may result in extra charges.
- Unless your quote says otherwise, you are responsible for any building permits, floor or slab assessments, engineering reviews and pre-start health and safety reviews required for your site.
- Please tell us about any in-floor heating, cables, piping or other items that could be affected by anchoring before installation begins.
Safe use of products
- Use all racking, shelving, mezzanines and equipment within the load ratings and configurations supplied with them.
- Do not modify, overload or move installed systems without professional advice. Damaged components should be unloaded and replaced right away.
- Regular inspection and maintenance are the owner’s responsibility.
Returns and cancellations
- Returns must be approved by JB Equipment in advance. Approved returns must be unused, complete and in resaleable condition, and may be subject to a restocking charge and return freight.
- Custom, cut-to-size, special-order and installed items cannot be cancelled or returned once ordered.
- To ask about a return or cancellation, contact us with your order or invoice number.
Warranty
Products are covered by the applicable manufacturer warranty, where one is provided. Warranty does not cover damage from overloading, impact, misuse, improper installation by others, modification or normal wear. Contact us and we will help you with any warranty claim.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, JB Equipment is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, business interruption or damage to stored goods. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the products or services involved.
