Keep Every Load Contained and in View

Box carts wrap the load in steel and mesh walls, so parts, returns and loose items stay on the cart and stay visible. Choose an open-top box cart, a three-sided cart that loads from the side, or a rolling lock-up cart with doors, shelves and fork pockets.

Tips for Choosing Box Carts

  • Decide how you loadOpen-top carts load from above. A three-sided cart lets you slide cartons on from the open side.
  • Think about securityIf stock is valuable or must stay counted, choose a lock-up cart with padlock-pin latches.
  • Size for your doorsCheck doorways, elevators and aisle turns against the cart length before you order.
  • Match the casters to the loadHeavier loads and long pushes roll easier on larger polyurethane casters.
  • Use the fork pocketsLock-up carts have fork pockets, so a forklift can move a loaded cart across the yard or onto a truck.
  • Keep loads visibleMesh walls let staff see what is on the cart without opening it, which speeds up counts and picking.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

A box cart has walls on all four sides. A three-sided cart leaves one side open so you can slide items on and off.

Can the security carts be locked?

Yes. Rolling lock-up security carts have double swinging doors with padlock-pin latches. A padlock is not included.

How much weight do box carts hold?

Steel and mesh box carts are rated to 1,000 lbs. Lock-up security carts are rated to 1,250 lbs with rubber casters and 1,500 lbs with polyurethane casters.
