Tips for Choosing Bulk Handling Equipment
- Estimate the volumeCheck how many cubic feet or yards you move per trip and size the truck to match.
- Check the weight tooDense loads like metal scrap fill weight before volume. Choose a steel hopper for heavy scrap.
- Think about unloadingSelf-dumping hoppers empty by forklift with no manual lifting, which suits heavy scrap.
- Reduce bendingEasy-access side openings and lower trucks cut strain for staff loading by hand.
- Pick quiet castersNon-marking neoprene casters protect floors in hotels, hospitals and offices.
- Measure doors and elevatorsMake sure loaded trucks fit through doors and elevators on their route.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are plastic bulk trucks used for?
They move loose parts, laundry, recycling and other bulky lightweight loads. The seamless rotomoulded plastic body is easy to clean and will not dent or rust.
What are poly trucks?
Poly trucks are rotationally moulded polyethylene trucks for bulky loads. Our models carry up to 2 cubic yards and 800 lbs, and economy versions nest together to save storage space.
How big are your bulk trucks?
Sizes range from compact carts measured in bushels up to jumbo trucks holding 60 cubic feet, with capacities up to 1,500 lbs.
How does a self-dumping hopper work?
The hopper is balanced so that, when released by forklift, it tips forward to dump and then returns upright on its own under normal conditions.
Do you offer lids?
Lids are available on select bulk truck models. Ask us when you order.
