Self-closing ladder safety gates swing open as a worker passes through, then close gently behind them so the opening is never left unprotected. They provide top and mid-rail protection at ladderways, mezzanine edges and elevated platforms, reducing the risk of falls.
Construction and features
- Provides top-rail and mid-rail protection at the opening.
- Each gate adjusts up to 10 inches in width to fit the opening.
- Controlled, soft-closing action prevents the gate from slamming.
- Adjustable spring torque lets you set how quickly the gate closes.
- Standard mounting hardware fits round pipe up to 2 inches O.D. or square tubing up to 2 x 2 inches.
- Can also be match-drilled directly to an existing wall or railing system.
- Tested to OSHA 1910.28 and 1910.29, ANSI A1264.1-2017 and ANSI A14.3, and Canada OHS Regulations SOR/86-304 Part II, exceeding the loading requirement by two times.
- Springs are tested to over 1 million cycles and are guaranteed for the life of the gate.
