Pallet flow racking saves both labour and floor space compared with selective or drive-in racking. Each lane is set at a carefully calculated angle so pallets roll along roller tracks from the loading end to the picking end, giving you automatic first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock rotation.
How it works
Pallets are loaded at the high end of each lane, called the charge side, and roll by gravity to the picking face, called the discharge side. As one pallet is removed, the next one moves forward on its own, so the oldest stock is always picked first.
- Automatic FIFO rotation keeps product moving in date order
- Separate loading and picking aisles keep forklift traffic apart
- Deep lanes store more pallets in less floor space
- Speed controllers keep pallets rolling smoothly and safely

Easier tracking, less handling
Because every lane holds a single product and always presents the oldest pallet at the pick face, inventory is simple to track and locate. Forklifts only travel to the ends of each lane, which cuts travel time and handling compared with reaching into selective or drive-in bays.
Pallet flow projects

Designed around your warehouse
Every pallet flow system is laid out around your building, pallets, loads and forklifts. Standard systems are designed for CPC and GMA pallets, and systems can also be designed to suit non-standard pallets and containers. Send us your floor plan, pallet sizes and weights for a layout and quote.
